I've had a lot of experience with animals all my life- starting at age 2 with, not just any pet, but a pet ferret! Since then, I've had a Miniature Schnauzer, a feisty black Himalayan/Persian mix, another ferret, a Ragdoll cat, assorted fish, reptiles, a Basenji/Lab mix, a Brittany/Border Collie mix and a Keeshond- most of which were/are family pets. I horseback ride frequently and have worked at pet stores caring for a multitude of animals from cockatoos to tarantulas.

I've always drawn and painted, but it took me until high school to realise the hobby that I did 90% of the time should probably be something I did for a career. I originally wanted to become a wildlife painter, but my love of the fantasy genre made me want to blend my passions into animal and pet caricature. I try to keep a sense of whimsy in caricature while applying the realistic touch of a wildlife artist.

I am currently residing in the US, but I have lived in Norway. I have also travelled to Australia, where I got to meet one of my favourite animals- a cheetah named Nova.
