How long does a portrait take to complete?
Depending on the complexity of the portrait, how many characters will be included, the medium used and the response time between approval for the sketch and final stages will determine how long a portrait will take. Please allow 2-4 weeks for completion. Longer times than previously discussed will be communicated to you as soon as possible. Rush orders can be requested for an additional fee.
Do I need perfect reference photos in the exact pose and lighting the painting needs?
No, that's part of what sets my studio apart from the rest!
Perfect reference photos are not needed at all. As long as you have a written description of the character, photos of celebrities that are similar in appearance/vibe or screenshots of in-game characters, I can use just about any material to create a portrait- even blurry low rez screenshots!
My specialty is creature art, so 30+ years of experience studying animals allows me to get the base shapes of any breed or species- real or imaginary- you just need to supply the specific description of your character. People are not a problem either- as long as they don't need to be a photo-real exact copy of someone. If there are markings, brandings, tattoos, jewellery or other signature items to be included on your character, be sure to include those in your notes also.

What payment methods are accepted?
Many payment methods are accepted. You can use your credit or debit card, but also Amazon Pay, Google Pay, Paypal, Paypal Credit and Cash App are available. As well, if you'd like to break up payment into interest-free payments, you can pay with Afterpay*. Klarna* can break payment up into monthly installments.

Celebrating the bond between people and animals is at the heart of what I do.
From realistically imagining creatures that don't even exist to exploring a past life full of adventures with animal companions to memorialising a beloved family pet, I strive to make you feel something when you look at my creature art.
Sometimes admiration, sometimes awe, sometimes a little bit scared... Animals occupy all of these things in our minds at different times and I love exploring that connection.
